EPS Young Talent: Mats van Linden

Talent cannot be taken for granted. So if, like us at EPS, you have a number of talents, you are of course very proud of that. That is why we will introduce an EPS Talent to you every week in the coming time. We do this in random order, by the way. This week we put Sales Engineer Mats van Linden (23 years old) in the spotlight.

“I chose EPS because of the growth potential of the company and the growth potential that I see for myself at EPS. I find the development of new technologies that we invest in as EPS extremely interesting and that is where I get my energy.” Mats is a Sales Engineer at EPS. In that role he is responsible for the sales of new pump-installations.

Mats says: “In my role as a Sales Engineer you see many different companies in different countries. I really like that. You build good relationships with those customers, but also with the EPS suppliers. So if you feel like having a nice mix of technology, customers and nice colleagues in your work, I would recommend you to come and work here too! ”

Of course, there are also a number of things in his job that are sometimes quite challenging. “What is difficult, but at the same time very cool, is entering new markets and in which we naturally do our utmost to interest new potential clients in our offer. That takes a lot of energy, but provides even more energy in return. If you are awarded an assignment, it is extra special and gives you a lot of satisfaction. Of course, you must be able to deliver flawlessly.

What advice would Mats give to anyone at the start of their career? “Do what gives you great satisfaction. You can find that out if you get the chance, like with EPS, to try out different roles. This way you discover what suits you best. And don’t forget, you always get more energy out of your job than you put into it, even though every beginning seems very difficult. Go for it!”
